Ceylon Tamil association and Quovo assists Sri Lanka
Recently the Ceylon Tamil Association (CTA) received a request for donations to cover a shortage of PPE occurring in Sri Lanka. The CTA set up a project to assist with meeting the shortfall in PPE.
The CTA has been working with Sri Lankan Regional Directors and local Australian suppliers to cover this shortage in PPE. Our Business Development Director, Suresan, as a committee member of the CTA, was approached to assist in achieving this goal. QUOVO was asked to supply masks for the regions of Mullaitivu, Trincomale, Batticoloa and Mannar, who were experiencing shortages of masks.
Through QUOVO's Singaporean distributor, Omni-Health Pte Ltd we were able to facilitate the immediate supply of a quantity of 10,000 masks to assist. Which contributed to alleviating the shortfall in these four regions.
Dr Vinoden, Regional director of health services for Mannar, sent a letter of Appreciation to the CTA and ;
"I wish to express my sincere gratitude to you for donating us 4,000 Medical masks to our Mannar Districts in this critical situation and also I would like to that Mr Suresan Rajendra, Mr Royce Mariadas and Mr Kugan Kuganesan President of the Ceylon Tamil Association for their valuable support for the arrangement of this donation."
Dr Gandeepan, Regional director of health services for Mullaitivu, expressed his appreciation:
"We would like to express our sincere thanks for your donation of 1,000 masks to the Mullaitivu district in this critical situation of Coronavirus outbreak, and also we would like to thank Dr Risikesavan, Royce Mariyathas and Dr Jechakaren for the valuable support for the arrangement of the donation."
Suresan and the QUOVO team would like to thank the CTA for organising and leading the donation effort for this great cause. We are proud to continue our association with the Ceylon Tamil community in South Australia.
The QUOVO team.
